Shaun Lincoln

Shaun is a coach and facilitator who specialises in introducing and developing Solution Focused approaches.

He has worked very successfully with over 80 FE colleges in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Jersey on a variety of leadership and management development initiatives, many using coaching, action learning, and mentoring. He has introduced Solution Focused approaches to management, organisational change and learning and development and in many colleges these now play a key role in ever-improving performance and learner outcomes. Shaun also works closely with the Metropolitan Police Service and Greater Manchester Police, having helped them introduce and build internal coaching communities that enable their managers and leaders to realise their full potential and that of their teams. Another key client for Shaun is ACAS, an organisation devoted to preventing and resolving employment disputes.

Prior to working in the learning and skills sector and starting his own consultancy, Shaun worked as a human resource development specialist in both the private and higher education sector. He specialises in leadership and management, having worked overseas as a management consultant and coach in Italy with Ciba Specialty Chemicals, and in Vietnam with the Nord Anglia Education Group where he worked with Unilever, Samsung and BP. His work on the use of action learning in leadership development as part of a MA in HRM won the CIPD national management report prize in 2003. Shaun is a frequent speaker at CIPD and SOL conferences.

Shaun has a strong academic and professional track record. Shaun holds an MProf in Executive Coaching from Middlesex University completed through i-coach academy, and an MA in Human Resource Management (Distinction). He is an Accredited Action Learning Facilitator (ALFA) and Programme Coordinator. As a Solution Focused Coach, he is a Founding member of International Solution Focused Coaching and Training (SFCT). He is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and the International Coach Federation (ICF). Shaun also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
