Maxine Burrell

Maxine is an experienced professional coach, chartered accountant and qualified engineer with over 15 years global corporate experience including eight years in blue-chip organisations. She spent the main part of her career with BP in a wide variety of international roles.

Maxine came to coaching through the field of sports coaching, before becoming an internal coach and finally transitioning into independent professional coaching in 2003. Her experience encompasses process engineering, finance, commercial economics, negotiating, culture change, leadership development, coaching, organisational consulting and facilitated learning which provides a strong understanding of the challenges facing organisational leaders.

Maxine works with professionals, emerging leaders, senior level leaders and entrepreneurs who are managing professional, organisational and/or personal change supporting them in understanding the complexity they face as the change unfolds. Maxine’s approach creates the conditions for learning to emerge where clients can explore possibilities, develop and embody an authentic leadership presence and create their own conditions to take adaptive action. Maxine completed her Masters degree in Executive Coaching from Middlesex University through i-coach academy. This programme holds the European Coaching and Mentoring Council’s EQA award at Master Practitioner level. She has completed the Human Systems Dynamics Certification programme and participated in various CPD events. A Member of the EMCC, she adheres to their code of ethics and has regular supervision for her coaching practice. In addition she is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds a BEng in Chemical and Process Engineering.

Recent clients include BP, BG Group, John Lewis Partnership, Bulgari, KPMG, News UK, Saudi Aramco, Welcome Trust, the Tate and a range of individual clients in small to medium enterprises.
