Kathy Weber
Kathy is a Human Resources professional, with fifteen years line management and functional experience, in the Retail, NHS and Information Technology sectors.
Kathy specialises in competency based assessment and development programmes and products. During this period she has worked with a range of private and public sector organisations, designing and delivering training and development solutions. Her main areas of expertise are in the design of assessment centres, tailored to specific industries, competency based processes and products such as performance management tools and development guides, development workshops, and personal skills training.
Kathy began her career in retail for FW Woolworth, where she implemented competency based performance management programmes for all levels of management, as part of a major organisation development initiative. She was also involved with the introduction, and implementation of assessment centres inside the organisation. Utilising this experience she moved to the North West Regional Health Authority, as a Management Development Consultant, where a major part of her role was the introduction of Assessment Centres for selection and development.
She later went on to spend several years as Training and Development Manager for the Customer Service Division of ICL Ltd. In this role she had responsibility for graduate recruitment and selection, competency based assessment and development programmes for all managers and staff, as well as a number of company wide initiatives, for instance Self-Managed Learning Programmes. Her most recent HR role was with Technology plc, a subsidiary company of ICL Ltd, where she was Human Resources Director. She also spent two years as the Training and Development Director for ish GMbH, a cable TV company and based in Cologne Germany. For the last thirteen years Kathy has worked as a consultant for a variety of blue chip organisations. She is also British Psychological Society trained in the administration and interpretation of Psychometrics and Questionnaires including Occupational Personality Questionnaire and Myers Briggs Type Indicator.
