JAMES ENJOYED A VARIED UPBRINGING, IS HALF JAPANESE AND HAS A NATURAL SENSE OF CURIOSITY WHICH HE BRINGS TO HIS WORK AS A COACH.
When coaching James seeks to enable clients by exploring with them their own drivers, motivations and beliefs, how they see themselves and experience events. He supports clients to explore and understand their interactions with key individuals, teams and the wider organisational context. By working with the context and tapping into the client’s inner selves, clients are able to create more powerful and authentic actions and results.
James establishes strong coaching relationships which are built on warmth, trust, safety and challenge. He provides clients the space to explore and support and challenge, to test and learn both for the current coaching journey and future ones.
James has coached a range of clients ranging from large multinational organisations such as Sodexo, Laird Technology, and ABK Bank (Kuwait) through to SMEs and start-ups. He has coached C-suite clients from Chief Information Officers, divisional unit MDs through to senior and middle managers across a number of functions including; HR, Strategy, Audit and Risk.

“I felt hugely empowered… I was impressed how James listened to and understood my situation, probing with the right questions that helped me see certain situations from different perspectives”
