Dr Liz Barnes

Liz works with high achieving professionals to strengthen their personal leadership, build resilience and create sustainable positive impact for themselves, and beyond. She supports individuals who are capable and conscientious but recognise that something has shifted whether in energy, clarity, or direction and are ready to refocus and lead more intentionally.
Liz creates a confidential, non-judgemental space for clients to pause, reflect, and gain perspective. Her coaching focuses on behavioural change, positive psychology and systemic leadership development, and if appropriate health and wellbeing (including stress, energy, and recovery).
Sessions are structured yet client-led, designed to; challenge existing thinking, generate new insights and perspectives, clarify priorities and direction, translate reflection into practical, achievable action. Known for her thoughtful and often stretching questions, Liz supports clients to build clarity, strengthen resolve, and make meaningful, lasting change.
She offers both 1:1 coaching and team coaching, often as part of leadership development or workplace wellbeing programmes. Clients typically experience clearer thinking and more confident decision-making, improved leadership presence and effectiveness, stronger team dynamics and communication, increased capacity and resilience, and tangible progress towards personal and organisational goals.
Liz works with experienced professionals and senior leaders across the private, public, and voluntary sectors including KPMG, Aramco, Johnson Matthey Plc., Cranfield University, LifeArc and Save the Children. Her clients often operate in complex, high-performance or technical scientific environments and are seeking to sustain performance while aligning more closely with their values and priorities.
An AC accredited executive coach, coach supervisor, with accreditations in systemic team coaching, resilience and health coaching. She holds various self-insight tool accreditations including Hogan® (HPI, HDS, MVPI and Team), Insights Discovery®, and Strengthscope®. Liz also brings over 20 years’ experience in global strategic HR and the design and delivery of leadership and talent development programmes for senior and executive leaders across the UK, US, Asia and Europe.
