As a coaching psychologist Vicky specialises in working with leaders in organisations.

Her early career was spent in the IT industry with roles in sales, training, as a network design engineer, and in technical account management, working for a variety of organisations, including Cabletron Systems, Newbridge Networks, Ericsson Mobile, and Sun Microsystems. Inspired by an interest in workplace psychology and behaviour, particularly leadership, Vicky left IT in 2002 to study psychology and coaching.

Her work as a coach is informed by her doctoral research into the psychology of leadership, where she explored how embedded core beliefs can influence patterns of leadership style, and how these can put leaders at risk of derailment. To engender change she works with clients to raise their awareness and help them understand the impact of their current habits of thinking and behaving on themselves, others, and the business. Clients are then encouraged to identify, practice, and evaluate new ways of thinking and behaving to enhance the performance and wellbeing of them and those around them.

Her coaching style is facilitative and non-directive. She uses thoughtful questioning to facilitate deeper and wider thinking, enabling clients to have greater clarity and understanding of what is required, and to feel that they have the power and resources to make the necessary changes. Common themes in her coaching work include; building and maintaining positive relationships, strengthening decision making, creating environments for team success, developing communication and interpersonal skills, gravitas, being more strategic, building confidence, and developing and empowering others. Clients experience her coaching as collaborative, encouraging, full of curiosity and fun.

Vicky has worked with a wide range of coaching clients including: Facebook, Pitney Bowes Ltd, Citibank, Aimia, Heathrow Airport Ltd, City University, Imperial College London, Cocomotion, London Stock Exchange, Cass Business School, King’s College London, Kingston University, the NHS, and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Vicky holds a PhD in Leadership and Coaching Psychology. She has completed certificate courses in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, Rational Emotive Behaviour Theory, Performance Coaching, Health Coaching, Organisational Stress Management, Relaxation Skills, Psychological Coaching, Cognitive Hypnotherapy. She is qualified in Psychometric testing Level A & B, NEO-PIR, and Cognitive Processes Profile. A past Chair of the British Psychological Society Special Group in Coaching Psychology, she is also a Counsel Member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology. She receives regular supervision for her coaching.
